The impact of your donation

Cancer doesn’t stop and neither will we

The coronavirus pandemic has left people affected by cancer needing our support now more than ever.

Coronavirus has changed so much for people living with and beyond cancer – it has meant increased risk to their health, increased isolation for those cocooning and added worry and stress for patients and their loved ones.

We are determined to be there for cancer patients and their families during this difficult time, but we need your help.

In these unprecedented times we have seen an increase in demand across many of our vital cancer services. We are working hard to ensure this increased need is met and no cancer patient is left to face their diagnosis alone.

Please donate today to ensure we can continue to be there for every cancer patient that needs us during this worrying time.

Increase in demand for cancer support services due to Covid-19

There has been a 20% increase in demands for our Night Nursing service, a service that allows cancer patients to spend their final days at home surrounded by their family.

There has been a 60% increase in cancer patients and their families using the free phone Support Line service. A service that gives cancer patients someone to talk to who can give trusted advice or be there to listen.

We are working hard to ensure we can meet these demands and the changing needs of cancer patients and their families at this worrying time.

  • Tailored advice on coping with Covid-19 for cancer patients and survivors has been developed.
  • Remote counselling sessions for cancer patients that are unable to access face-to-face services has been introduced.

Your donation today will help ensure people with cancer have access to crucial supports at this difficult time including advice and support, free counselling and transport to and from chemotherapy.

Our fundraising activities have been greatly curtailed due to the coronavirus with all of our major events cancelled and our charity shops closed.

Please donate today to ensure we can continue to be there for every cancer patient that needs us during this worrying time.

Together we can be there for cancer patients when they need us most. These services simply would not exist without the generosity of the Irish public. Thank you for the difference you are making to someone’s life today 💛

Your donations make a big difference to the lives of people with cancer. Your support means we can provide the type of help people need – whether that is counselling hours, transport to and from chemotherapy, a listening ear or to fulfil a person’s wish to die at home.

Without your help our services simply would not exist.
