Des: Daffodil Day Volunteer, Waterford
Des Daunt from Waterford has been involved in Daffodil Day since the early 90s and is now the chairperson of his local Daffodil Day committee.

It was his mum who first enlisted his help – she was one of the founding members of the committee in Waterford.
Now he is chairman of that committee and every year watches as Waterford turns into a blaze of yellow.
The good spirits of the volunteers and those who generously donate to Daffodil Day is something that inspires Des.
He said as a committee they are always looking to get younger people involved in Daffodil Day.
“It’s about the whole age span from the youth to the elderly, I mean as we all know cancer doesn't have any age limits,” he said.
