Marathon in a Month

The Marathon EVERYONE can complete!

Complete the distance of a Marathon within the month of July and help cancer patients across Ireland and fund vital research!

The Irish Cancer Society has launched Ireland’s first virtual marathon campaign, Marathon in a Month, which aims to get people moving while raising vital funds to support people affected by cancer.

Decoding Cancer: HPV, Cancer and Vaccination - Time for a Reality Check

Thursday, 27 July, marks World Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Day. Head and neck cancers include cancers of the mouth, salivary glands, pharynx, larynx (voicebox), throat, nasal cavity/middle ear and sinuses. Mouth and throat cancers in men and women are becoming more common and a high percentage of these cancer are caused by the Human Papilloma Virus.

DLR Bay 10K Road Race & Family Fun Run

Help us take on cancer by joining our Dun Laoghaire Bay 10K Team on August 7.

You can take on the full 10k run, or make it a family event and walk, skip or jump your way through the 1.5k family fun run.

Hurling for Cancer 2017

On Tuesday 15th of August, Hurling for Cancer Research will take place at 6:30 in St. Conleth’s Park, Kildare. The event, which has been organised for the sixth year in a row by horseracing legend Jim Bolger and champion jockey Davy Russell, will see a host of Irish hurling and horse racing stars come together for what promises to be, yet another, fantastic evening for everyone involved.

Relay For Life is a 24 hour community event which celebrates people who have survived a cancer diagnosis, remembers those lost to the disease and brings the community together to Fight Back against cancer.

Dingle Marathon

The course consists of a Half Marathon (13.1 miles) and a Full Marathon (26.2 miles) which traverse the spectacular Dingle Peninsula.

This is a ‘must do’ event in one of Ireland’s must beautiful locations on Slea Head with the course designed for runners and walkers to enjoy its breath taking scenery and beautiful rugged coastline. This is the only day in the year when vehicular traffic is removed from Slea Head immersing runners in the natural beauty of the Dingle Peninsula on the Wild Atlantic Way.
