The SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon is now the fourth largest marathon in Europe behind Berlin, London & Paris, with over 19,500 participants for 2016, 

The is a single lap, starting and finishing close to the City Centre. Conditions for marathon running are ideal.

Clonakilty Pink Ribbon Walk

Clonakilty’s Irish Cancer Society Annual Pink Ribbon Walk will take place on Bank Holiday Monday 29 October at 3pm.

Registration will take place at Fernhill House Hotel from 2pm onwards.

Due to health and safety reasons all participants must depart together at 3pm sharp.

Walk the 4km round trip and return to the hotel for ‘Pink Refreshments’.

Entry is €10.00 per adult, or a donation of your choice.

Runners, walkers, cyclists, children in buggies and any other mode of transport are all welcome.

It also happens to be a helluva marathon - possibly the No 1 marathon in the world today. Combining a superb course and a vibrant, unique city, the New York City Marathon (Sunday, November 4) is a truly special experience. Starting at the Verrazano Bridge on Staten Island, runners cross into Brooklyn and then proceed through Queens, the Bronx and Manhattan, finishing in Central Park.
