Lymphoma

Lymphoma is cancer of the lymphatic system. There are two main types of lymphoma - Hodgkin lymphoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Most lymphomas are non-Hodgkin lymphomas.

What is lymphoma?

Lymphoma is cancer of the lymphatic system. Generally, lymphoma cells grow in lymph glands (nodes). This causes the glands to get bigger or swell.

There are 2 types of lymphoma:

  • Hodgkin lymphoma
  • Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

The difference between the 2 types depends on the appearance of the lymphoma cells under the microscope. Most lymphomas are non-Hodgkin lymphomas.
