Grainne's Shave or Dye

Shave or Dye

Pledge to shave your head or dye your hair to help support cancer patients and their families this year.

Collect donations and then make it happen!

Take part in Shave or Dye this summer.

Why not head into the sunny summer months with a whole new hairstyle, show off a new look on your holidays, or host a fun activity to keep the kids entertained on their school break! Make your terrible home haircut a fun fundraising event, and raise money to support people affected by cancer at a time when they need it most. You could even dye your hair to match your outfit for the festivals you are heading to this summer! There are lots of ways to get creative!

We would love for you to get involved with your college class, clubmates or a group of friends while you are enjoying your summer holidays. If you are under the age of 18, please ask a parent to help you register!

How it works:

  1. Decide what to do this summer to change up your hairstyle – do you want to shave your head, or dye your hair?
  2. Set a fundraising target
  3. Collect pledges
  4. Once you reach your fundraising target, make it happen!

Shave your head, dye your hair, have your bad hair day, and take pictures and videos and share them on social media, tagging the Irish Cancer Society and using the hashtag #ShaveOrDye.

Thousands of participants have been getting their friends and family to sponsor them to shave or dye their hair. By shaving or dying your hair, you are showing your support for thousands of people who are going through, or have gone though, cancer treatment.

Your Shave or Dye fundraiser will help us to fund life-changing cancer research and provide free cancer support services such as our Support Line, Remote Counselling and Night Nurses to cancer patients and their families across the country.
