Patient Education
Our Patient Education service offers free group information sessions online and in person for patients about to start chemotherapy.
We also have a collection of self-guided pre-treatment education videos.
Our videos have information to help you understand and prepare for different treatments and possible side-effects that you can watch in your own time. The video topics are:
- Radiotherapy
- Immunotherapy and targeted therapies
- Oral anti-cancer medicines
- Hormone therapy
We have informationa and tips on managing symptoms and side-effects during and after cancer treatment.

Our Cancer Nurses offer confidential advice, support and information for anyone affected by cancer. Call or email supportline@irishcancer.ie. Video calls available. Mon-Fri: 9am-5pm
Our Daffodil Centres
Our Daffodil Centres in 13 hospitals nationwide are staffed by Cancer Nurses and trained volunteers who provide face-to-face advice, support and information for anyone affected by cancer.
