Phone calls from the Irish Cancer Society

As a registered charity under CHY5863, we take our obligation to ensure that all our supporters and their details are treated with respect and care at all times.

Where you as a supporter have provided your contact phone number, and given us permission to do so, we may contact you from time to time.

These calls may be necessary to confirm that your details are correct, thank you for your support, let you know about the vital services you help to provide and can avail of, or to highlight ways you can continue to support people affected by cancer.

During these calls we may ask for:

  • Confirmation of your name
  • Confirmation of your address/email/phone details
  • Confirmation of the permissions you have given us to contact you
  • Bic and IBAN

We will never ask for sensitive details such as:

  • Credit card number or security code
  • Banking PIN
  • Date of Birth

If you ever receive a phone call from someone from the Irish Cancer Society and you have any doubts or concerns, please do not provide any details and call us back directly on +353 1 2316 649 to speak to Eilis, our Supporter Champion, or email edwyer@irishcancer.ie where she can confirm the validity of the call.

We are so grateful for everyone who is part of our wonderful community.
