Please note that while there is flexibility in the days you may choose to drive each month, we ask that volunteers have at least two days mid-week that they are usually available to ensure have a minimum number of drivers available at all times:

Please note, we ask those who have been through a cancer diagnosis or lost a loved one not to volunteer until at least 12 months have passed for your own emotional wellbeing.

Please note that while we welcome every application, we will be recruiting new drivers based on the needs of each hospital. Please check the top of this form for a list of our highest-priority regions. We do try to contact every applicant but in some cases this may not be possible. Thank you again for your interest.

Referees

Please provide contact details for two referees who are not related to you. We will be checking all references for volunteers. Please ensure to give direct contact details for your referees, not general contact details for companies or organisations.
 
Please provide us with names of two referees who are happy to give you a character reference. e.g. neighbours, previous employers, friends, etc. who are not family members, you have known for over 2 years. Please note your referees will be contacted before you start as a volunteer with us.

We would like to keep you updated about the impact of your support with our Irish Cancer Society e-newsletter. It's sent out every few months with updates on what we're doing in the fight against cancer thanks to your support.
 
The information you have provided will be kept securely and used by the Irish Cancer Society in order to make your volunteer activity possible. Your information will only be shared with selected third-party service providers, contracted by the Irish Cancer Society to assist with our services.

By signing up to volunteer, you will receive a confirmation email and subsequent communications by email, phone or SMS from the Irish Cancer Society to provide you with important information about volunteering with the Society.
