Patient Voice in Cancer Research
If you’ve survived or are living with cancer, you can have a say in the future of cancer research in Ireland.
‘The Patient Voice in Cancer Research’ is a UCD-led event that gets people affected by cancer and their families involved in shaping and informing the future of cancer research in Ireland.
Its aim is to identify the questions and needs that matter most to those living with a cancer diagnosis and those most likely to improve the relevance of cancer research.
The next ‘Patient Voice’ event takes place in UCD on April 11 from 8:30am to 1:30pm. Whatever your background, everyone is welcome to listen and chat in an informal setting with cancer researchers and health experts. Lunch will also be provided.
Afterwards, everyone is welcome to cheer on the runners involved in the UCD Relay for Life which starts at 2pm in nearby Devlin Park. Relay for Life is a 24 hour event that brings the whole community together to celebrate the lives of cancer survivors, remember those lost to the disease and fight back by increasing knowledge of cancer and raising money to fund vital research and services of the Irish Cancer Society.
