Cork company ‘Wm O'Brien Public Storage’ will now accept donations for Irish Cancer Society’s Charity Shops

From 1st April Cork company ‘Wm. O'Brien Public Storage’ will accept and store donations for the Irish Cancer Society’s Charity Shops at their Bishopstown based premises. This is an important development for the Society who rely on donations for the success of their shops. It is hoped that more organisations will get on board and do the same.

Commenting on the new development, Maura Shields, Irish Cancer Society Regional Manager Retail said, “We’re delighted to receive this support from Wm. O'Brien Public Storage. Having more drop off points will make donating to an Irish Cancer Society shop even easier, we hope this development will increase the donations we receive. We are always looking for ways to raise awareness of our charity shops and to spread the word about our need for more donations of clothes, shoes, books, bric-a-brac, giftware, collectables and household items.

“We need more people to shop, donate and volunteer and this initiative from ‘Wm. O'Brien Public Storage’ will certainly help generate much needed stock. Without support of our shops from the community we can’t continue to deliver our nationwide information and support services.”
