The idea for Cuan first surfaced in the spring of 2012. A couple of interested cancer survivors started a discussion and decided to try and establish a psycho-social support group for the Cavan area.
In October 2012 Cuan opened for people with a cancer diagnosis to come along for a gentle exercise class and a cup of coffee & chat. The group is embryonic but is enthusiastic and we are looking at areas of development. Our local Credit Union has generously given us a wonderful, newly built space which will cater perfectly for our needs long into the future.
Founded in 1994, ARC is a registered charity offering professional support to men and women affected by cancer and those who care for them. The support is holistic and complements primary medical treatment with education and psychological care.
