Volunteer with your local cancer support group
Cancer support services all over Ireland are looking for volunteers to help them. There are many roles including complementary therapists, counsellors and listening volunteers. Each role has its own requirements around skills and time commitments.
There are also opportunities to share other skills such as bookkeeping, administration and maintenance. Check with your local service to see if there is an opening that's right for you.
Are you living in an area that doesn't have a cancer support service? We can help you by providing information and advice about how to start and maintain a cancer support service.
We also give training to volunteers, managers and board members of cancer support services that are affiliated to the Irish Cancer Society. You can apply to become an affiliated service.
