Volunteer at our Your Health Matters Roadshows

Catching cancer early is one of the best way to increase the odds of surviving cancer. The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a growing backlog of patients who have not presented with cancer symptoms or are waiting for urgent time critical-diagnostics services. It is generally agreed that this disruption will lead to later stage presentation and increased cancer mortality in the coming years.
We’re doing all we can to change that. You might have seen our Your Health Matters campaign across the media. That campaign is now on the road, with Your Health Matters health check and awareness events popping up across the country throughout 2022, in areas where people are at greatest risk.
What's involved in becoming a Health Roadshow Volunteer?
We’ll have nurses available conducting health checks (like blood pressure, BMI and CO2 monitoring), giving lifestyle advice and information on signs and symptoms of cancer, and providing free on-the-spot referrals to GPs, screening services and Irish Cancer Services.
We need volunteers to engage with members of the public, welcome visitors and take bookings.

Time Commitment
You can help by volunteering just two hours of your time at a Your Health Matters pop-up stand. We typically need volunteers for a min. of 2 hours between 8am – 6pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
To register your interest in volunteering, please complete an online application form in the link below. We will be in touch with more information about Health Roadshow events happening in your area.
