Relay For Life
Communities coming together to celebrate cancer survivors, remember those we've lost, and fight back by raising awareness about the free services provided by the Irish Cancer Society.
The Irish Cancer Society Relay For Life is the biggest cancer fundraising initiative in the world. It sees local communities coming together to celebrate cancer survivors, remember those we have lost and to fight back against cancer by raising awareness of the services provided by the Irish Cancer Society locally and nationally.
What is Relay For Life?
Relay for Life is a unique and beautiful opportunity to celebrate those that have survived cancer, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and to stand shoulder to shoulder with those battling cancer. Relay For Life is a celebration of solidarity.

Get involved in Relay For Life

If you’re passionate about fighting back against cancer and can gather together a committed group of people to join you in that fight, you can start your own Relay For Life team in your community, workplace or school.
Purchase a candle bag that will be placed during the moving Candle of Hope ceremony at your local Relay For Life. At dusk, the candles are lit in a moving tribute to those who have been lost to the disease.

Join in the fun and visit a Relay event with your family and friends! Whether you come for the whole 24 hours or just one or two, you'll be most welcome and there's no cost to drop by! You can see a list of events here or on Facebook.
