Hi superwhy

I finished chemo on 29th march and ditched the wig in August ( the end) was very grey but waited till November to dye it.i used a no ammonia oil based dye and still am.i changed it once and ended up with a dreadful itch .I'm a year and a half on finishing and still find head can be sensitive.

Hope that's of use

I dyed mine before I went public! Mine was quite grey too. I bought hair rince instead of hair dye. Pretty sure i picked it up in the chemest, maybe even in tesco. It only lasted a week but it did not contain the nasties of regular dye which some would say you should not use until you have six months of hair growth. There are more products on the Market now that probably don't have ammonia so you may have more choice!

Oh and my hair got less grey as it grew stronger!

Good luck

Hi Ladies,
Did any of you cut your hair short again soon after regrowth started? To thicken it up? My hair has been growing back for two months, pretty even, no real colour, but thinking of getting a buzz cut to try thicken the look of it...
Thanks!

I know I shouldn't complain but I've a right mop of curls, hate them. Thinking if getting it cut short and hopefully no more curls. I finished chemo end of dec and coloured it middle if march. Non ammonia and have had loads of colours since . Bad enough being curly without being grey on top lol

Hi all
I finished chemo end of Oct and got rid of the wig on March 1st. I hated my new get head too. I got a dye from the wig shop. It did the trick and I felt I was getting me back. It doesn't last but I put it on every so often and no problems. Just this wk I was stuck for one and I put on one from the health food shop that I used to use pre chemo. My head itched a little bit while it was on, I don't remember that before but it worked out just fine.
Re the facial hair, that also happened to me and hadn't previously been a problem. The nice ladies here advised me to try threading. I only had to do it once and no more problems. I think maybe we have done facial hair always but it was only noticeable with no head hair!
Good luck with all
