Daffodil Centre St. James's Hospital
The Daffodil Centre is located in the main hospital building. Enter the hospital via the St James’s Street entrance, proceed to Junction 2, turn left and enter the main hospital building. Continue straight through the concourse and take the last left towards yellow Route 3. Take the next left to Private 1. The Daffodil Centre is located beside Private 1.
The opening hours are 8am to 4pm Monday to Thursday.
The centre is staffed by trained Cancer Nurses and volunteers who provide free practical information about all types of cancer and support to anyone affected by or concerned about cancer.
The centre is open to the public and if you have a question or concern about cancer you are welcome to call in at any time during opening hours. An appointment or referral is not necessary. Everyone is welcome – patients, their relatives and anyone with worries about cancer. We can also help if you want to learn about how to reduce the risks of developing cancer. The Cancer Nurse will take the time to listen to you and provide you with information, advice and support that is tailored for you. All Daffodil Centre conversations are held in confidence.
If you are a healthcare professional, we can advise you about the information and support that is available to you and your patients or clients.
If you are unable to visit the centre the Cancer Nurses will accept phone calls and e-mails.
Alternatively you may speak with a Cancer Nurse by phone on our Support Line at 1800 200 700.
