Athenry Cancer Care

The Athenry Cancer Care Centre provides a voluntary support service for people on a cancer journey. The Centre offers a holistic approach, recognising that a person who is on a cancer journey is not just a body to be treated, but is body, mind, soul and spirit, all in one, in need of nurture.

What cancer type is the group/centre for? All cancers.

Who is the group/centre for? Everybody: Cares, Patients, Adults, Relatives, Children with cancer, Young adults with cancer. Geographical areas served Galway.

What support/services are offered? 1 to 1 support, Bereavement support, Home/hospital visiting, Pampering service. Symbols Confidential Service, Wheelchair accessible, Counselling service, Information service, Complementary therapy.

Opening Hours: Mon 3 – 6pm Massage; Tues 11am – 1pm or 2 – 4pm Counselling; Wed 3 – 6.30pm Head & Shoulder Massage; Thurs 10am – 1.30pm Reiki; Fri 10am – 1pm Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD); Other times by appointment.
