Training tips for your Marathon in a Month
As part of our Marathon in a Month campaign, we talked to Mary Jennings, running coach and founder of ForgetTheGym to provide some training tips on getting your training started for your marathon.
Mary founded ForgetTheGym in 2007 to encourage people to get outdoors, get running and get motivated and coaches runners of all levels to enjoy running.
Mary is now also running coach and regular contributor to The Irish Times. Mary believes that exercise should be fun, social, enjoyable and pain free. Mary has a keen interest in the psychology of exercise recently completing her Msc in Sport and Exercise Psychology at University of Ulster.
As a keen long distance runner Mary herself has completed over 40 marathons and ultra-marathons up to 100k in distance.
