Bare to Care (Cork)

Bare to Care Dare will take place in Cork on Saturday November 11th and in Dublin on Saturday November 18th.
Hundreds of women will come together to celebrate their bodies, their breasts and above all to support each other. To tell their own cancer survival stories. To be proud and celebrate their new post mastectomy or reconstructed breasts. To lighten their spirits while going through treatment right now. To tick something off their bucket list. To laugh and have fun, to share and to support. Those that have lost loved ones to cancer will bare all in memory, to show their thanks to the support the Irish Cancer Society give everyday to thousands of women all over the country. We will all Bare to Care to show that we are all here together, to celebrate our bodies and our sisterhood.
We will Bare to Care because we are strong of spirit. Our breasts and bodies are beautiful, no matter what age or shape. Cancer will not take that away from us and we will Bare to Care to prove it. We deserve it and those we have lost deserve it too.
Reach for the clasp ladies. It’s time For you to Bare to Care!
Our fundraising target is €50,000 for 2017. Each model raises whatever they can to participate, the final amount up to your sponsorship skills (downloadable sponsorship forms available under the model registration section – link). We would like to recommend that each model at least aims to raise €100 (but whatever you hit is OK). Donate yourself or get friends and family to sponsor you. We fully believe we will hit, if not surpass, our €50,000 target. In fact, with so many people expressing an interest already, from hair dressing salons to hockey teams, sisters and friends, we might make a lot more, however places are limited so please register early.
Having raised your donation funds (or chosen to donate this yourself), simply click the EVENTBRITE button on the website and download your ticket for the event and bring it with you on the day. There is a €100 priced ticket and a DONATION ticket (which you can use to enter whatever amount you are donating from your fundraising, be that more or less than the €100)
Every model will be paired with an artist who will paint a professional artwork using your body as their canvas. You can chat about what you’d like, maybe bring some design ideas yourself, or simply give yourself over to their creativity. Check out our appropriately named Inspiration Gallery for ideas, featuring both Irish and International examples.
Every model is asked to wear BLUE JEANS on the day.
