Social and Allied Health Science Research Scholarship Programme 2019 - Expression of Interest

The Irish Cancer Society is now accepting Expression of Interest applications for the Research Scholarship Programme 2019.

The objective of the Irish Cancer Society Social and Allied Health Sciences Research Scholarship Programme is to offer excellent medical, nursing, social, and allied health sciences graduates the opportunity to undertake postgraduate training in cancer research. Applications are sought from individuals wishing to pursue a PhD in cancer research in the social and allied health sciences*, including, but not limited to: Psychology, nursing, social work, speech and language therapy, and dietetics. Applications in biomedical research (i.e. research within the areas of basic or translational science) are not eligible for this award.

*Note: For the 2019 scholarship programme, we are not accepting applications in the areas of exercise physiology or exercise intervention.

How to apply

Eligible applicants can submit an Expression of Interest application through the Irish Cancer Society Grant Tracker online system.

Please note applicants that submit applications to both the Biomedical Research Scholarship 2019 and the Social and Allied Health Science Research Scholarship 2019 will be rejected. If you are unsure of which award category is applicable to your project, please contact and we can advise.
