Save the Date: The Irish Association of Cancer Research (IACR) Annual Conference 2020

The Irish Association of Cancer Research (IACR) Annual Conference 2020 – Now with dedicated sessions in biomedical and social, nursing, and allied health sciences

We are delighted to announce that the 2020 Irish Association for Cancer Research (IACR) annual conference will be held in the Galway Bay Hotel 26th-28th February 2020.

As with previous years, the IACR Annual Conference brings together the best Irish Cancer Researchers to share their work and hear from international experts in areas such as genomics, radiation oncology, epidemiology, and immunology. Excitingly, the 56th conference will be a joint EACR/IACR event welcoming researchers from across Europe.

In 2020, for the first time, the IACR with support from the Irish Cancer Society are delighted to announce a parallel IACR track “Improving Cancer Care and Outcomes” to highlight the importance of Social, Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences research in the lives of people with cancer. The conference will host dedicated parallel sessions in Palliative and End of Life Care; Nutrition and Exercise; Psycho-Oncology and Patient-Reported Outcome Measures. Speakers include Professor Anna Campbell MBE, Professor Pamela Gallagher, Professor Claire Foster, Professor Gunn Grande, and many more.

This is a fantastic opportunity for multidisciplinary researchers and health care professionals at any stage of their career.

There are numerous benefits of attending, such as:

  • learn about the most up-to-date cancer research from international experts in the field
  • network and collaborate with like-minded and multidisciplinary researchers and health-care professionals;
  • disseminate your research findings to the most impactful and relevant audience;
  • be part of an exciting new initiative of the IACR

Conference programme, registration, and abstract submission will be available soon at www.iacr.ie
