Jockeys and GAA stars prepare to go head to head in Hurling for Cancer Research match at St Conleth’s Park

Horseracing stars are slipping out of the saddle and swapping their reins for a hurl as they prepare to join Ireland’s GAA stars for a hurling match with a difference at St Conleth’s Park, Newbridge on August 15th at 6.30pm.

For the sixth year in a row horseracing legend Jim Bolger and champion jockey Davy Russell will bring household names in GAA and horseracing together to take part in Hurling for Cancer Research, a celebrity hurling match in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.

To date the event has raised €500,000 to help fund innovative cancer research projects in Ireland.

A stellar line up will take to the pitch once again this year. To get you tickets for this game of lovely hurling – and a chance to meet your sporting idols - buy your tickets here.
