Prostate Cancer Information Service
The Irish Cancer Society Prostate Cancer Information Service offers free, confidential advice, support and information to anyone worried about any aspect of prostate cancer prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment or follow-on care. Through the Prostate Cancer Information Service, people can access peer support via Men Against Cancer (MAC), other patient support groups and counselling services.

This service is available: Monday – Thursday 9am – 7pm, Fri ‘til 5pm.

Walk in Service
The Prostate Cancer Information Service is also happy to receive walk-in callers at the Irish Cancer Society offices at 43/45 Northumberland Road, Dublin 4.
Interactive help online
Via its website, www.cancer.ie, the Irish Cancer Society also facilitates an online bulletin board called “ cancer forum” and “ cancer chat”, which is a live chat room linked to the Prostate Cancer Information Services nurse.
Peer Support
Men Against Cancer (MAC) is a support group, which provides men and women with the opportunity to speak with others who have been affected by prostate cancer and share in their understanding and experience. MAC can be contacted via the National Cancer Helpline 1800 200 700 or e-mail: prostate@irishcancer.ie.
