Our pink partners made a huge difference during the Pink Ribbon Appeal 2011.

VHI Healthcare

This is the third year running that Vhi Healthcare sponsored our Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The sponsorship is part of Vhi Healthcare’s commitment to breast cancer treatment and advances in care, providing access to the best screening and most up-to-date information to facilitate early diagnosis, speedy treatment and positive outcomes for breast cancer patients.

As part of its sponsorship of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Vhi Healthcare once again ran its hugely popular Send a Ribbon campaign. Members of the public send viral pink ribbons to family and loved ones throughout the month of October at sendaribbon.ie. For every virtual ribbon sent, Vhi Healthcare made a donation to us. Last year saw over 370,000 ribbons sent and it is hoped this year will be even more successful with the aim of raising €75,000 to fund our research and programmes.

Centra

Centra, Ireland’s largest convenience retailer, is now in its second year supporting Action Breast Cancer, a programme of the Irish Cancer Society, and in particular the Get the Girls ‘Round campaign which raised over €400,000 last year. Using their nationwide network of 464 stores Centra also sold their exclusive Pink Beanie hats across their network of stores throughout October. The hats, which are available in two shades of pink, retail at €5 with all proceeds going to Action Breast Cancer .

Esso

Esso turned their 39 stores and staff pink for the month of October in the Drive to Reach €100,000 for us.

Pandora

In celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Pandora will be donating all proceeds of the new and exclusive Pandora Pink Ribbon Charm (RRP €49) to Action Breast Cancer.

GHD

Working this season’s pink and black lace trend, this year’s eagerly anticipated ghd Pink limited edition features hot orchid pink to create a super slick design. €10 from every styler sold will be donated to the amazing charity Action Breast Cancer. This will be the fifth year ghd and Action Breast Cancer have collaborated, and in that time they've raised nearly €370,000 towards crucial funding and research.

Newstalk

Ireland’s National Independent Talk Radio Boardcaster, went pink this October. They supported our work throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month with exclusive features across the range of their programmes. Check them out on 106-108 fm.

Carlton Hotel Group

In association with us, the Carlton Hotel Group have launched their Pink Ribbon Package in conjunction with the launch of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Carlton will donate €5.00 per booking on their Pink Offer to Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The package will be available to book for dates until the end of the year in all 10 Carlton Hotels Nationwide.

Barry Packaging

Barry Packaging has developed an Action Breast Cancer pink carrier bag to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October. 14 cent from every bag sold will be donated to Action Breast Cancer, a programme of the Irish Cancer Society.

Spin 1038

Spin 1038 and the Spinnies supported the Pink Ribbon Appeal with on air support throughout the month of October. They hosted a Get The Girls ‘Round on air where two lucky listeners won the chance to join the Spin 1038 crew!

BB’s Coffee & Muffins

On Pink Ribbon Day, Friday 7th October, BB’s stores across the country donated all proceeds from their sales to Action Breast Cancer and hosted a Pink Tea Party in all stores.

Curves

20 Curves locations turned pink for the month of October and all Curves locations participated in the Bra Recycling Campaign which was a huge success in 2010.

Hairy baby

Hairy baby has created an exclusive Betsy Boob t-shirt in aid of Action Breast Cancer. The T-shirt is available online for €20. €5 will be going to Action Breast Cancer.

Rubycard

Rubycard has launched a new pink prepaid Mastercard with €4 going to Action Breast Cancer for every sign up.
