Daffodil Day 2012 is on March 23rd

You can fundraise for Daffodil Day, Friday, March 23rd, 2012 within your club, business, organisation or community by selling Daffodil merchandise or by running your own special event.

In addition to volunteering to sell Daffodil merchandise on the streets for us, you can also fundraise in these ways:

1. setting up a merchandise box in a common area and collecting funds. Order a Daffodil Box or fundraising pack now (PDF 2MB) at no expense.
2. organising a Daffodil fundraising event at a time that suits you. All you need to do is:

• decide on an event (below are also a few examples of popular Daffodil fundraising events)
• then, order your Daffodil promotional materials and gifts (PDF 2.5MB). Note that on this form, we list the prices you should sell promotional merchandise at, but there is no cost to you. However, unsold merchandise should be returned to us after your event.

Event ideas

You may simply choose to sell Daffodil merchandise to your group, but you can also get creative and hold your own fundraising event:

• At work, you could auction off an extra day’s leave, guitar lessons with a staff member, or a dinner party for six.
• Have everyone in your club bring in old items (books, clothes, handbags, jewellery, etc.) to sell on for €3-€5—this works really well as staff are getting something for their money. Anything not sold can be donated to our Irish Cancer Society charity shops.
• Sell treats in your community through a coffee morning and bake sale—you could even have a cake competition!

After fundraising

Once you’ve hosted your event, don’t forget to send us the fruits of your labour by banking your Daffodil funds and returning your unsold merchandise.
