A huge thank you to everyone who took part in Daffodil Day 2011 and helped us to paint Ireland yellow this March - you helped raise four million euro!. We were delighted with your response and we hugely appreciate all your hard work raising funds for our nursing services.

Night Nurses help people who are approaching the end of their lives. Through our nationwide network of night nurses, we can supply someone who will provide nursing care in the home. This is the only free, out-of-hours nursing service available to cancer patients in Ireland.
The main challenge ahead is to meet the growing demand for this service. Help us continue to be there for those who need us.
Our Cancer Information Service is there for anyone who is concerned about cancer – from cancer patients, relatives and friends to healthcare professionals. Our specialist Cancer Information Nurses give confidential information, advice and support via the National Cancer Helpline (Freefone 1800 200 700), email (helpline@irishcancer.ie), online chat with cancer nurses or in person.
In 2010, our specialist nurses spoke to over 21,000 callers who contacted our helpline, an increase of 10% from 2009.
Our Daffodil Centres are a unique way of bringing our Cancer Information Service to hospitals, where we offer advice, information and support to people affected by cancer. We opened our first Daffodil Centre in Galway University Hospital in 2009 and our second in 2010 in Beaumount Hospital. Our plan is to continue to roll out five more Daffodil Centres to hospitals across Ireland in 2011.
If you've raised money for us, it's time to bank. Find out how.
I started ordering Daffodil Day stock over three years ago. There’s great excitement around the campaign. We turn the place yellow and sell daffodil stock to parents and balloons to the little ones. It has become an annual event at this stage!
