Challenge yourself

Show your solidarity with people affected by cancer by taking up a challenge this year and raising funds in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. Our challenges include walks, runs, parachute jumps, treks abroad, and more.

Up for the challenge?

Looking for a personal challenge but not sure what to take up? Fundraising for the Irish Cancer Society is for you. We have lots of brilliant fundraising ideas and, rest assured, any money you raise will go to a great cause.

As the largest voluntary funder of cancer research in Ireland, we spent €1.6 million on vital cancer research projects all around the country in 2010. In addition, we continue to provide free night nursing to people across the country, as well as investing in cancer-awareness campaigns to help people understand and reduce their risk of developing cancer.

You can challenge yourself by:

  • Joining our Run4Life team to run a marathon – if running is your thing, there are plenty of road races you can enter in Ireland or overseas!
  • Gathering your friends together to participate in a mini-marathon near you. Make your every step count, sign up today.
  • Trekking abroad! We’ve trekked across Europe and now we’re taking on the rest of the world to raise funds for cancer research. Join us and make a difference!
  • Walking for breast cancer! Show your support for the women in your life, join one of our Pink Ribbon Walks and raise funds for our breast cancer programmes.
  • Cycle4Life! Join the 5 day cycle from Dublin to Paris
  • Being extreme! Do a skydive, a parachute jump or fly a helicopter for the Irish Cancer Society and get your heart pumping for a great cause!
  • See a full list of upcoming events and challenges.
  • Whatever event you choose, we’ll make sure you are supported in your fundraising with Irish Cancer Society materials and resources.

Happy to support, even if not taking part?

If you can’t take part in an event for whatever reason, you can still make a difference. Do the next best thing: make a donation. Find out more about the many ways you can donate to the Irish Cancer Society.
