Mini Marathons
Fancy a little competition?
We have 2 nights bed and breakfast at the beautiful Delphi Mountain Resort and Spa to giveaway to one lucky winner. To qualify for entry you just need to join the Irish Cancer Society Mini Marathon team and raise and lodge €250 by the 31st October.
Support is just a cheer away!
If you can’t participate in the race or you’re looking for ways to involve everyone – why not stand out from the crowd and form your very own cheer squad? Ask your friends, family and everyone you know to set up a cheering point on the day to cheer you and all the Irish Cancer Society runners round the course. It’s a fantastic way to get involved in a local event, have some fun and make all the ladies feel special and loved! Plus it’s a great way to raise awareness of the Irish Cancer Society.
We have plenty of materials, including whistles, flags and T-shirts, to make sure your cheering squad will be seen and heard on the day. To request your pack CallSave our fundraising team on 1850 60 60 60 or order online now. Please note: cheer squad packs will not be shipped until mid-August 2010.
Can’t find your event but still want to support the Irish Cancer Society?
If you want to participate in a different mini-marathon, run a local 10km run or even host your own challenge event, just contact our fundraising team on 1850 60 60 60 and we will send you out a fundraising pack to get you started.
How your support can make a difference
The cancer challenge in Ireland is an enormous one with 30,000 new diagnoses expected in 2010 alone. With your support, we will continue to be the country’s largest voluntary funder of cancer research; we will increase awareness around cancer prevention and help people to reduce their risk of developing cancer. We will also continue to be there for anyone affected by cancer throughout their cancer journey, providing information, care and support through our free, nationwide, cancer information and patient care programmes.
Thank you. We look forward to cheering you on!!
