iCAN

Advocacy is about individuals speaking up together so that their voice is heard by the people who make decisions. We work hard with people like you so that politicians and civil servants make cancer a national priority.

You can use your voice to say ‘iCan’ make a difference and help us ensure fewer people get cancer and those who do have a better outcome. Join us by becoming involved in our advocacy campaigns today.

Three things you CAN do today to fight cancer:

1. Become an online iCAN Campaigner

Register as an iCAN Campaigner to receive alerts about opportunities for you to become involved in our campaigns.

2. Become a trained iCAN Advocate

If you’re interested in committing time to campaigning on cancer, we’d love to hear from you.
We will provide you with free training so that you have the skills and information to campaign for the Irish Cancer Society. The training is open to anyone, however you should be;

  • Willing to talk or distribute information on cancer issues while sticking to Irish Cancer Society messages
  • Willing to learn. Having good communication skills is a help, but training will be given in this area so a willingness to learn is vital
  • Good at keeping records
  • Reliable

The process

  • If you are interested in becoming an iCan advocate please complete this sign up form
